WR: Pencils

Tushar Lakhanpal (b April 14, 1998) of New Delhi has the largest collection of pencils started in 2001. As on June 30, 2015, he had 14,698 pencils of which no two pencils are the same. Collected from 45 countries, there are over 20 unusual pencils – scented ones, those showing temperature variations, depicting the crowns of various Austrian kingdoms, a spoon-shaped pencil, Swarovski pencils and even a 24-carat designer pencil. An avid environmentalist, Tushar’s collection also has many pencils made of handmade and recycled paper.
