Manish Agarwal (b. 14 September 1974) from Kolkata, West Bengal, is a long-time fan of the legendary cricketer. In 2013, after Tendulkar retired from all forms of international cricket, Agarwal decided to pay tribute to him by acquiring a currency collection in which the serial numbers of the notes correspond to the dates on which Tendulkar made a century, besides his debut date and the last day he played an international match. During 2013–14, Agarwal became all-India winner in a contest sponsored by Aviva, in which he had to write a 500-word blog about Sachin Tendulkar, and had the opportunity to meet the living legend, while his daughter Dhwani was lucky enough to play one or two balls with Tendulkar on the field.
