Gurgaon Traffic Police in Haryana issued 14,896 challans or fines for traffic rules violations in the city in just 14 hr on June 24, 2015, making it the highest number of fines imposed in a single day by a city traffic police force. It was part of a Zero Tolerance Day observed by the traffic police. The intensive traffic drive started at 8.00 am with nearly 300 cops deployed at 100 spots on the city roads. The main focus on the day was on traffic offences like over-speeding, use of cellphones while driving, jumping traffic signals, driving without seat belt, smoking, wrong lane driving and wrong side parking.
