RTI activist Subhash Chandra Agrawal of Delhi has filed more than 6,500 petitions of public interest under the Right to Information Act of 2005 with over 740 of them reaching the second appeal stage at the Central Information Commission (CIC), as of June 30, 2015. Some of his RTI petitions have been instrumental in bringing about radical reforms in the governance system. He also holds the distinction of facing most court-cases (about 30) by public authorities against CIC orders, including three cases at the Supreme Court filed by the Supreme Court itself!
