Abaasaheb Shewale (b Dec 9, 1986) of Navi Mumbai has been making push-pin portraits since 2012, taking a minimum of five days to make one portrait. The smallest is 22 x 37 in with 9,000 pins and the largest is 28 x 44 in with 11,500 pins. The materials used are soft-boards and coloured push-pins. An exhibition was held at Thane Kala Bhavan on Jan 6, 2015. Of the nine portraits, two were presented to Amitabh Bachchan and MS Dhoni respectively.
