Vijay Kumar Shetty (b Jan 24, 1954) of Dombivli, Maharashtra enacted 60 different characters from 40 different dramas and Yakshagana, that he directed and a few of them written by him in Tulu and Kannada, as a part of the programme called Kala Jagatthu Rangothsava – 2014 at the Smt Radhabai T Bhandari Sabhagriha on Nov 23, 2014. He started with the role of Dasharatha from his drama Shabdavedi at 10.25 am and concluded with the of a role of Chowter from Yenaddaavand at 11.00 pm. He enacted each character for around 3 to 9 min with full make-up, costume, props and various supporting actors associated with each. He took around 5-10 min between each character to change costumes and the small intervals were filled with song and dance performances. Manjunath Koraga Shettigar was the make-up artiste who helped Vijay master each look.
