The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lod Vishnu. Its idol is made up of 12,008 salagramas that build up the reclining Lord. The temple treasure is a collection of valulable objects, including a gold throne, crowns, coins, statues, ornaments, diamonds and other precious stones. The valuables are believed to have been accumulated in the temple over several thousand years, having been donated to the deity, and subsequently stored in the temple by various dynasties. In July 2011, the extistence of six vaults was revealed, of which five reportedly housed more than a trillion rupees of treasure.
