With a mission to reach out to its 1.25 crore customers, automobile manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (MSIL) conducted the Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Customer Connect Programme for independent workshop owners and mechanics across the country. It was the largest such programme by any automobile OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in a year. They were able to interact with as many as 70,000 workshops in 12 months from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016. MSIL also achieved a sales volume of Rs 33.1  crore in MGPs during the programme.
