Raghu Ram Bhat, 30, a quadriplegic with no sensation below the neck, skydived on 6 March 2017 from a height of 12,000 feet at Mysuru, Karnataka. Raghu Ram, in tandem with his instructor Pavel, had a free fall of 5,000 feet and then came down with the parachute. This first of its kind skydive by a quadriplegic was done after a year’s training and various dry runs supported by a team of professional sky-riders, by a division of the Kakini Enterprises Pvt. Ltd, a sky diving and aviation company. Raghu Ram is a radio jockey at Sri Sathya Sai Baba Radio Station at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.
