Dr Pritam Gopinath Munde (b Feb 17, 1983) of Bharatiya Janata Party was declared elected from the Beed Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra with a margin of 6,96,321 votes, the highest ever in the electoral history of India, on Oct 19, 2014. She bagged a total of 9,22,416 votes (71.05%) while her nearest rival secured 2,26,095 votes (17.42%) in the bye-election held as the seat fell vacant after Pritam’s father and Union Minister Gopinath Munde died in an accident on June 3, 2014.
