Prof Manoj Srivastava’s team of 25 students and five chefs of the School of Hotel Management, Manipal University prepared the heaviest Gateaux Ananas, a sliced pineapple dish made with dry fruits, whole milk fudge, mixed fruit jam, fresh cream and fruits, for the inauguration of Manipal University, Jaipur on April 2, 2015. The 5 ft long, 4 ft wide and 5 inch high book-shaped Gateaux Ananas weighing 87 kg was tasted by all.
