Solar Impulse-2, the world’s only solar-powered aircraft on its round-the-world trip, arrived in India at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on March 10, 2015 around 15 hours after it took off from Muscat. After a week-long stopover in the city the no-fuel aircraft took off for Varanasi on March 18. The aircraft had begun its journey from Abu Dhabi on March 9 with pilots Bertrand Piccard and Borschbergh in the cockpit.
