The Arts and Cultural Heritage Trust (TAACHT), set up on 24 October 2016 in Amritsar, Punjab, is the world’s first Partition museum. The museum has been set up in the restored portion of the Town Hall. It is dedicated to the memory of the Partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947 – its victims, its survivors and its lasting legacy. On display are photographs, clothes, utensils and other memorabilia.
