India won the inaugural T20 Blind Cricket World Cup (BCWC) defeating Pakistan in the finals with 29 runs at the Central College Ground in Bengaluru on Dec 13, 2012. The 12-day tournament saw nine teams competing for the Cup. Ketan Patel, a B1 category player, was declared the man of the match. According to the rules the teams were to comprise four B1 players (fully blind), three B2 (who can see up to 3 m) and maximum of four B3 players (who can see up to 6 m). The scores of the B1 players are doubled for the batsman and the team score.
