India Weaved in Frames (IWIF) was a photography exhibition organised by Immagine, a registered NPO of 15 members based in Kerala, at Kerala Lalithakala Akademi’s Durbar Hall Art Centre, Ernakulam, Kerala from Nov 5–9, 2014. The inauguration at 3.00 pm on Nov 5, 2014 had 29 children (representing 29 states) of Don Bosco Sneha Bhavan, Ernakulam singing the National Anthem, followed by the IWIF Award and certificate presentation. Eminent judges had selected 87 images (three from each State) from the 29 online State contests that ran from Oct 14, 2013 – August 9, 2014. The Gift a Book | Book a Smile fundraising initiative for underprivileged children was started from the sale of IWIF Photo-Book featuring all the 87 images with an exclusive write up on each. The all-India winner out of 1,813 entries was Biswajit Patra from Sikkim with his image titled The Himalayan Treasure. Rajesh Kumar Singh from Jharkhand with his image titled The Kill stood second and Subin Pullazhy from Kerala with his image titled Great Proportions was placed third. Raghu Rai was the Chief judge for the final contest, when he helped pick three winners out of the top 29, for the IWIF Award.
