The 5th Battalion of MAHAR Regiment (Borders) part of Amogh Division, Indian Army successfully conducted ‘the Amogh Division Desert Trek 2015’ in which a 20-member team of soldiers traversed 261.9 km along the tough terrains of the Great Indian Desert in Rajasthan in 10 days, making it the largest such team expedition. Self-sufficient and backpacked, the team started the trek from Khajewala at 8.20 am on Feb 1, 2015 and concluded it at Pugal, Rajasthan by 2.10 pm on Feb 10, 2015.

The team comprised Capt Prateek Singh (leader), Nb Sub Rajendra Singh (deputy leader), Hav Girish Singh, Nk Hari Ram Jat, LNk Kamlesh Singh, LNk Rajju Lal, Sep Trilok Singh, Sep Bijender Singh, Sep Jitender Singh, Sep Veer Singh, Sep Jagdish Tomar, Sep Satish Patel, Sep Abhijit Ghosh, Sep Chanadne Shive Kishor, Sep Sukhvir Singh, Sep Panchmukh Satish, Sep Pradeep Jana, Sep Manjunath, Sep Amit Kumar and Sep Phool Babu.
