BV Panduranga Rao (b Sept 20, 1944) of Bengaluru, a former cricketer and a state panel cricket umpire himself, could not stop himself when the ICC World Cup 2015 was going on from Feb 14 – March 28, 2015 in Australia and New Zealand! He drew 209 caricatures on 7" x 5" drawing sheets using pencil and black ink. The background colours to the sketches were added later based on the player’s costume representing his country. He added the photo of the player, his name and a photo of world cup in each of the caricatures. He took three months starting from Feb 20, 2015. He first showcased these caricatures at the Indian Institute of Cartoonists gallery on May 24, 2015.
