Autofest City, the personal hobby of brothers Clyde and Neil D’Costa, of Mysuru, Karnataka, is a collection of authentic scale-model miniatures which began in 1996. Housed in a dedicated 720 sq ft building at the brothers’ home, the collection has more than 1,717 carefully chosen, intensely researched authentic scale replicas of automobiles and 74 figures and accessories spanning 533 years of transportation history with replicas like the 1478 Leonardo Da Vinci’s Self Propelled Cart, 1804 Trevithick Steam Engine and the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E500 convertible! Autofest City largely features models in scales 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 18, 24, 40 and 43. At Autofest City, scale models are presented in informative and interesting displays under hand-crafted glass cases with technical specifications, interesting anecdotes and highlights pertaining to the model, manufacturers’ logos, the flag of the country of origin and pictures of the real automobile.
