Addressing the AIESEC Youth Speak Forum in Goa, Ishteyaque Amjad, Vice-President, ‎Public Affairs & Communication at Coca Cola India & South West Asia, shared how believing in oneself can lead anyone to success and help in accomplishing life goals.       

Addressing the gathering of youth, Ishteyaque emphasized that it’s essential to be determined and motivated every day. He cited numerous examples of how having resilience and positive attitude has helped many survive adversities and achieve the goals they had set for themselves including himself.  

During his address, Ishteyaque further elaborated why it is important to have self-belief and the confidence that things can change for better. He said that when people trust themselves and make positive choices, they make empowered decisions. It is important to stick to those decisions and follow through on with commitment and rigor. It is the cornerstone of success. But even if they fail, they should not seek an excuse to blame others. By owning their failures, people gain wisdom and set themselves up for future success.

Additionally, he dwelled upon the fact that people are often faced with choices and perspectives. Some perspectives are dark and cynical while some are bright and optimistic. The choice lies with an individual to color their perspective. People who see the glass half full will have the drive, patience and perseverance to excel and make positive contributions to the world.
