Michelle Kakade (b Oct 9, 1968), a long distance runner from Pune, Maharashtra, became the first person to cover on foot the Golden Quadrilateral (GQ) connecting the four metros – Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai. Her ‘Great India Quadrilateral Run’ which started and ended at the Gateway of India, Mumbai covered 5,968.4 km in 193 days 1 hr 9 min from Oct 21, 2015 to May 1, 2016. It was also the longest run undertaken by a woman on Indian roads.
