KOMPANIONS, a Gurgaon based Edu-Tech-Sci organisation, enabled 850 students in the age group of 6-16 years of St Xavier’s School, Jaipur, to experience the Solar System journey through Virtual Reality (VR) on May 10, 2016. The students ‘boarded a space ship in the school auditorium and ‘visited’ all the planets as they are in reality, just like an astronaut. It opened to them the world of asteroids, stars, galaxies and much more. This was made possible through the use of a mobile handset and a VR kit provided by KOMPANIONS. Virtual Reality is a computer technology that replicates an environment, real or imagined, and simulates a user’s physical presence to allow user interaction.
