When the women’s 4x400 relay team consisting of Priyanka Pawar, Tintu Luka, Mandeep Kaur and MR Poovamma won the gold with a new games record of 3:28.68 at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, it was for the first time that India had won an event in four successive Games. In the new millennium, Indian women are unbeaten in the women’s 4x400 m relay having won the gold medal in 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014.
