 R V Institute of Management, Bengaluru has been conducting a free adult education platform ‘Computer Literacy Programme for Senior Citizens’ since 2006. Over 1,000 senior citizens aged between 60-90 years in 24 batches have been taught to use the computer like sending emails, sending photographs to their children and grandchildren, on-line booking tickets, payment of bills, banking remittances, digital India awareness, social media communication and many more. Each batch consists of 40 members. Classes are held in the evenings and each session is of three months duration. The 25th batch concluded its session in May 2016.
