Chetna Yatra, an initiative by Aavishkar Media Group, has completed 11 annual journeys covering about 25,000 km in around 50 days every year, covering every hook and corner of the country, as of 2015. The 11th Chetna Yatra was from Sept 5, to Nov 1, 2015, covering 450 cities. The purpose of the Yatra is to bridge the gap between all the stakeholders of the broadcasting and Cable TV industry. They organise seminars and talk shows during the yatra for raising awareness on global warming and environment, prioritising ‘green broadcasting’. They also educate TV channels, Cable TV operators and other stakeholders to save environment and incorporate methods to save electricity and reduce power consumption by switching to LED lights in studios and planting trees.
