 In 2016, Udaipur City Police in Rajasthan opened the first Lady Patrol Wing with 23 specially trained women personnel for the task. The wing started operation with two cops each on 10 motorcycles patrolling the city throughout the day in 8-8 hour shifts. The city has been divided into five beats with a women’s patrol team of two officers for each beat.
