A team comprising 20 women from the Department of Biotechnology, Junagadh Agriculture University, Gujarat successfully completed 1,000 soil sample tests in 4 hr 26 min from 9.00 am to 1.26 pm on June 12, 2016. The event was conducted at the Food Testing Laboratory of Dept of Biotechnology and Biochemistry. The team analysed and reported five common parameters of soil samples, collected from the Saurashtra region of the state, such as nitrogen (organic carbon), phosphorus and potassium contents, pH value (for acidity or alkalinity) and electrical conductivity (EC).

The team comprised Dr Shraddha Bhatt, Dr Heena Parmar, Khyati Rathod, Amisha Patel, Radhika Godaliya, Komal Vaja, Visha Rathod, Zinkal Katakpara, Darshna Hirpara, Apeksha Poshiya, Neha Bodar, Mita Shihora, Divyaben Savaliya, Disha Mori, Abha Limbasiya, Shital Padhiyar, Viraj Rathod, Bindu Goswami, Ila Kalathiya and Dr Disha Savaliya.
