Coca-Cola is a significant player in Nepal and Bhutan’s economy and operates its business through two bottling partners, Bottling Nepal in Nepal and Tashi Beverages in Bhutan. It has 3 production facilities.


To strengthen the business environment of the Coca-Cola system in Nepal & Bhutan by enhancing system’s business objectives through leading, managing and executing the  functional guidance in the following key areas: Government Relations, Policy Advocacy, Sustainability, Community Relations and Industry representation, Communications, Media Relations and Crisis Management.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Develop and execute the PACS strategy for Nepal & Bhutan and ensure that all the PACS strategies, initiatives and projects are aligned and in sync with the overall system business objectives.
  • Stakeholders management, including the lawmakers, statutory bodies, media, academia, influencers, NGOs, development agencies and civil society.
  • Guide the bottling partners on specific PACS issues, compliance and social license.
  • Continually enhance the capability of the country system Communications and Public Affairs operations, utilizing the Global Communications and Government Relations Development Framework.
  • Co-develop and manage a comprehensive Incident Management Program (crisis management) and coordinate the security management with the BU HO & Global Security Team at Atlanta.
  • Lead an manage the industry association through an effective functioning of Beverage Association, development of Food & Beverages Committees in the existing industry associations.
  • Collaborate closely with INSWA PACS team.

Work Focus

  • Development of PACS strategy and its successful implementation.
  • Guiding the Coca-Cola system (including Bottling partners) to adopt all statutory compliances such as Extended Producers’ Responsibility on plastic waste, water and other business-related issues.
  • Measurable improvement in Company Reputation
  • Successful running of Beverage Association & establishment of F&B sectoral committee in the chambers.
  • 10 years + experience
  • Advanced degree beyond graduate level education in a university (e.g. MBA or other master’s degree in packaging/ social services) or equivalent
  • Understanding about company's business, financial performance, products and their technical details.
  • Understanding the business value chain, role of packaging and its impact on business.
  • Understanding of issues related to Coca-Cola’s business such as plastics packaging, water security, social license, environmental and sustainability excellence.  
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape of Nepal & Bhutan and experience in working with stakeholders like Government Bodies, NGOs, Industry Associations.
  • Understanding of functioning of Industry Associations and ability to build relationships and achieve consensus in conflicting situation.
  • People skills.
  • Understanding of brand marketing, corporate communication strategies and development of publicity events and promotions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop engagement as well as communication strategies.
  • Passion for the cause and positive attitude.
