The role is responsible for resource (DME, OPEX, CAPEX etc.) allocation thought leadership across the OU including implementing the global resource allocation strategy in the OU as well as develop and implement the OU resource allocation strategy. In addition, role provide strategic and operational support to Marketing function through insights & analytics on brand spends along with financial & budgetary controls and act as a primary contact of Marketing and our Bottling Partners.

What You’ll Do for Us

  • Partner with the OU senior leaders and Marketing to manage and execute the resource allocation strategy for DME investments, including:
  • Develop and implement along with Management team the local DME resource allocation strategy
  • Analyze/Benchmark/rationalize the strategy based on local considerations
  • Assess all on-going projects and prioritize them based on current allocation guidelines
  • Supporting the co-ordination and facilitation of total Marketing budget for LRP (Long Range Plan) and Annual Business Plan which includes portfolio choices, brand allocation, campaign initiatives through collaborating with the Marketing Function
  • Management of Consumer and Trade Marketing Budget of INSWA
  • Review, Control & measure metrics for India region for consumer & trade marketing spend
  • Lead all MEM initiatives in INSWA and represent globally on behalf of the OU.
  • Ensure complete governance, control and compliance (internal & statutory) for India marketing expenses and act as power user for SAP marketing release strategy for the BU
  • Supporting the Marketing & Strategy team through building the utilization of the MVA tool which measures the ROI on marketing investments and providing these insights to the marketing team for building their plans and any re-allocations by brand or activity
  • Supporting the marketing efficiencies and productivity initiatives reporting by collaborating with Marketing Function as well as Marketing agencies and developing the process as well as coordinating the plan on re-investment of savings
  • Custodian of MEM system, processes and ensuring controls and compliance; maintaining oversight/review and approving over campaign creation done by MEM team basis Marketing inputs shared in BP campaign creation template
  • Revisiting DME splits by function / brand / head for balance of year, based on latest DME plans, in discussion with key Marketing stakeholders and share inputs with Planning team members for inclusion in RE projections
  • Controls and Compliances - DME process walkthroughs, Discussions with Marketing users on audit queries, Discussions with internal auditors on audit queries, implementation of management action plan
  • Partner with the OU senior leaders to execute the resource allocation strategy for Opex investments, including:
  • Implement the Global resource allocation strategy in the OU
  • Develop and implement along with Management the local Opex resource allocation strategy
  • Analyze/Benchmark/rationalize the strategy based on local considerations
  • Assess all on-going projects and prioritize them based on current allocation guidelines
  • Partner with the OU senior leaders and operations team to execute the resource allocation strategy for DFR investments, including:
  • Implement the Global resource allocation strategy in the OU
  • Develop and implement along with Management the local DFR resource allocation strategy
  • Analyze/Benchmark/rationalize the strategy based on local considerations
  • Assess all on-going projects and prioritize them based on current allocation guidelines
  • Collaborating with Operations team to develop metrics for measuring efficiencies and effectiveness of DFR investments
  • Role model the “Leadership in the Network” definition
  • This job assists in development of the ABP and OBP for the business. Also assists in recommendation of various additional budget asks by the Operations and marketing function based on Risk and opportunities on the Business.
  • Provide holistic understanding of business performance inside the OU, including defining OU with innovation support.
  • Implement category model framework/playbooks
  • Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to collaborating across OU

Qualifications & Requirements

  • >7 years of leadership experience in senior commercial finance or planning roles
  • Extensive management experience, with ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
  • Mastery of Commercial Finance, Knowledge and Insights. People Leadership, Influence and Communication and Strategic Thinking.
  • Broad expertise in Risk Management, Agile ways of working, enterprise-wide/transversal initiatives, portfolio strategy and flexibility
