What You’ll Do for Us
- Ensure delivery of the NSR and OI targets for all responsible businesses by managing the risks and opportunities and control of DME/ DFR spends. Custodian of the Key Accounts P&L by channel, by customer and by product. Analytics to be shared with the key business and finance stakeholders.
- Preparation of annual business plan in collaboration with customer team. Working with CFO and leadership team to ensure alignment of business plans.
- Identifying and evaluating Revenue Growth & Profit opportunities outside the business plan. Deep analytics of business to identify risk and opportunities and create mitigating plan to ensure delivery of plan.
- Support the customer leadership function in the construct and evaluation of all new deals; generate insights at a channel and customer level to drive a more sustainable pricing and profitability, thereby initiating any renegotiations of existing contracts
- Supports developing promotion calendar for customers by profitability simulation, scenario planning and financial modelling.
- Monitor trade spends, analysis and promotion effectiveness
- Business case evaluations & decision support – New products or pack interventions, New business model, Customer acquisition, Customer terms of trade renewal
- Identify and prepare appropriate operating and financial benchmarks for various channels and measure performance of various channels against those benchmarks; Reviewing and tracking of spends, supports to Bottlers and customers, approval of purchase orders and accrual management.
- Leads New Launch & pack interventions, value chain simulations, analysis implementation, financial modelling, stakeholder review implementation and integration approval.
- Lead ad-hoc analysis and what if scenarios (for example Brand/pack/price/channel combinations, etc) based on requests from CCL team & commercial finance director / VP-Finance; Support head quarter compliance in Customer Pricing Analysis (CPA) for India & SWA markets
- Inputs for monthly book close; supporting internal & statutory audits; DFR & DME budget management; ensuring controls and compliances
- Deliver insights based on understanding of the customer, competitive and economic landscape and identify opportunities in the market. Chart out the financial strategy & journey for the India Business based on the emerging trends and shifting profit pools within the Customer space.
- To succeed, the role requires a strong combination of analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, strong Customer understanding, as well as a hands-on mentality.
- The role will be wired closely in a networked approach with Senior Leaders and Operators in the Operating Units C&CL as well Marketing/ Categories, Platform Services as well as our Bottling Partners.
- Ability to drive cross-functional support and cross-system alignment, not least leading and smoothly running PicoS alignment and collaboration to ensure that OU strategies are fully owned by GMs
- Significant analysis complexity – The incumbent requires strong analysis and interpretation skills. This is because the RGM and Commercial planning work requires deep understanding of various data sets including but not limited to – volume, system revenue and financial metrics, market share-distribution, execution data, consumer brand, shopper data etc. The incumbent needs to integrate all the available data sources to identify opportunity areas and help develop action plans
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and key accounts by channels
- Internal: Communication of channel-specific opportunities, priorities and plans to the OU leadership team and other Senior Management
- System: Communication and alignment of key strategic initiatives by channel as well as their key business drivers, KO System strategic direction/ priorities and performance with Bottler senior leaders
- External: Communicating with senior leaders of major customers, key advisors and other stakeholders to progress and successfully deliver on key business development initiatives per channel
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 7 years of financial management experience in commercial / operations finance in a consumer products company
- Chartered Accountant / MBA
- Good negotiation & communication skills.
- Good understanding of financial concepts like P&L, ROI & financial analysis skills.
- Strong MS office skills
- Mastery of RGM INCL Segmentation, OBPPC, Commercial Planning, Integrated System Execution, System Economics, Advanced Analytics and Connecting the Dots
- Broad expertise in System Planning, Value to Market,( Shopper/Channel) Marketing and Commercial, Customer Management and Supply Chain
