Launch of Rain Water Harvesting for Communities in Kerala

Jalaneedhi Scheme: Water Pipeline Project For Villages
Contribution on behalf of beneficiaries in Jalaneedhi Scheme
342 households covering 6 villages Kannimari, Kochikadu, Thottichipathy, Rajeev Nagar, Kuttikalchalla & Karipalichalla
Focused on providing potable water supply to rural villages in Palakkad district, Kerala
Panchayat will contribute 10 % of the project amount, 15 % to be contributed by the beneficiaries, Coca-Cola will fund 15% of the project and the rest would be provided by the government of Kerala
Repair of existing wells to:
      -Meet the drinking water needs of the local communities
      -Enable proper recharge of groundwater in the existing structures
      -Ensure cleaning of existing wells by removing dirt, silt and other external material
      -Tribal areas – 250 Nos.
      -Village areas (farmers) – 250 Nos.
