After their first baby steps into learning the ropes of management and leadership, 13 top executives from bottling units in India and Southwest Asia including Maldives and Bangladesh graduated as part of its CREST Leadership Academy.

The Academy has been designed in collaboration with Management Development Institute, Gurgaon with the intent to nurture and groom the present and future leaders of the Coca-Cola Bottling System. Some of the best talents in the operation of plants were a part of this program.

The program was designed to infuse leadership competencies with the focus being on team management, strategic thinking and innovation mind set.

The curriculum, which was spread over six months comprised of residential classroom sessions, personalised coaching, case studies, simulation games and activity based learning delivered by a mix of leading industry leaders and experts from the academia. This, coupled with the live group projects and an international best practices visit, made the program a highly enriching experience for the participants.

Live business relevant projects formed an integral part of the programme, which helped identify and train some of the leading minds who work in bottling operations. The ‘students’ worked on the projects and came up with solutions that could help in generating savings for the business.

The team that worked on the idea for ‘Reducing Average PET Product Age’ won the best project award.

Another key highlight of the program was the international best practice visit that was planned in Germany. The visit was aimed at providing the participants an opportunity to learn from best practices within and outside the Coca-Cola system and then apply their learnings to deliver high impact group projects.

Legendary Bollywood star Sharmila Tagore was present at the Graduation Ceremony of the CREST Leadership Academy and handed over the graduation certificates to the leaders of tomorrow. The Bollywood sensation of the 1960s had the audience spellbound when she narrated the stories and lessons she learnt from her life as a superstar.
