Of the three Global Golden Peacock awards given at Vilamoura in Portugal Coca-Cola India once again bagged a special commendation for its contribution in India towards its efforts in communities-for replenishment of ground water and setting a target of year 2009 to be water neutral. The first award was given to Brandesco Banco, Brazil and the second award was bagged by Tata Steel, India. The Deputy Prime Minister of Portugal, Antonio Castro Guerra, gave away the award to Deepak Jolly, VP-Public Affairs & Communications, Coca-Cola India in the presence of Dr Ola Ullsten former Prime Minister of Sweden.
