17th October 2015, Jaipur: The historic arena of Albert Hall in Jaipur reverberated with music as it staged its maiden performance of ‘Coke Studio@MTV’, India’s most loved and popular fusion music property established by Coca-Cola India. Over 15000 music lovers were treated to spellbinding performances by the multi-talented artists – Sona Mohapatra, Amit Trivedi and Ram Sampath. The artists belted out popular numbers – The artists belted out popular numbers – ‘kattey’, ‘Rangabati’, ‘Piya Se Naina’ and many more, much to the delight of the crowd who played their part in creating a magical evening.This was the first time that Coke Studio season 4 came to the Pink City and the excitement amongst music lovers was exhilarating at the Albert Hall, which was filled to capacity.

The enthralling evening celebrated spectacular performances and echoed the cultural spirit of Jaipur. The concert was graced by Shrimati Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, along with other dignitaries from the government, senior members of the Coca-Cola Company, the bottling partners and other associates.

Speaking about the music property, Debabrata Mukherjee, VP, Marketing and Commercial, Coca-Cola India said, “Coke Studio@MTV is a celebration of diversity in music, owned by a community of millions of music lovers. Speaking about the composition, music producer and singer, Amit Trivedi said-” It is always joyful to collaborate with other musicians and create something truly magical for a live audience. Conceptualizing our music with Sona Mahapatra and Ram Sampath backstage, and then recreating them on the stage to a responsive and energetic audience was a surreal experience. This was certainly one of my most gratifying experiences.”

Versatile music producer and singer, Ram Sampath – “For me, performing in front of a live audience is a truly encouraging experience. It allows me to express without inhibitions and do completely new things to satiate my creative desires. I am glad to have had an opportunity to perform some Coke Studio songs with such talented artists. The response and love from the people of Jaipur made this experience a memorable one.”

Singing sensation, Sona Mohapatra – “It is my true honor and privilege to be a part of a music platform like Coke Studio@MTV. Though I have performed in numerous concerts around the world, the ambience and creative satisfaction I derived here was unique. The songs I performed today are extremely close to my heart and I am thrilled to have been able to present a fresh version of it. I loved the energy that the people of Jaipur exhibited today and look forward to coming here again soon”.
