The Coca-Cola cricket camp was a day long affair that took place at Jamia Millia Islamia University Ground
This initiative brought budding cricketers and cricket greats on the same platform, the Delhi leg of the camp had the legendary cricketer Murali Karthik coaching the north zone teams
Camp to focus on cricketing skills, nutrition, fitness and a 360 degree approach to a healthy lifestyle
New Delhi, February 14, 2013: Coca-Cola India, the country’s leading beverage brand, provided the budding cricketers in Delhi, an opportunity to access world-class training from ace cricketers. The Coca-Cola Cricket Coaching camps took place on the 14th of February at the Jamia Millia Islamia University Ground as a part of the recently launched Toyota University Cricket Championship (TUCC), which saw the best university cricket teams from across the country participating in an enthralling battle of spirit and talent.
The Coca-Cola Cricket coaching camp bought a world class coaching experience to young cricketers from the selected university teams encompassing top eight teams from all four zones. In Delhi the camp, was attended by the qualifying north zones teams from Aligarh , Gwalior and Jamia Millia university who were coached by distinguished cricketer Murali Karthik. Coca-Cola cricket camp looks at providing a platform to aspiring young cricketers to get an all round training experience.

The TUCC is an extension of the prestigious RohintonBaria Tournament and the Championship matches will begin from 23rd February2013. The top eight teams from RohintonBaria will sweat it out, playing at various University grounds and International stadiums in New Delhi, Mumbai, Gwalior among other cities. The participating teams for the 2013 Championship that have been selected from the 4 regional zones are – JamiaMiliaIslamia, Aligarh Muslim University, AwadheshPratap Singh University, Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Mumbai University, Jiwaji University, University of Madras and Jain University. The teams for this Championship have been selected through the RohintonBaria Tournament, which involves participation from more than two hundred Universities and twenty lakh students across the country.
