Commemorating 21 glorious years of Limca Book of Records, Coca-Cola India launched the 21st edition of the Limca Book of Records 2010. As part of the 21 years celebration, 7 eminent luminaries were felicitated as the 'People of the Year'. These included, Rahul Dravid, Star Batsman and former Indian Cricket Team Captain, Kiran Karnik, former President of NASSCOM and Padma Shree awardee, Anjolie Ela Menon, India's leading contemporary female artist, Justice JS Verma, former Chief Justice of India and an eminent human rights activist, Dr Lalitha Regi, leading Gynecologist & Co-Founder of Tribal Health Initiative (NGO), Sankara Netralaya, leading not-for-profit institution for eye care and Anand Mahindra, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, Mahindra & Mahindra.

As part of the event, a captivating performance by the famous 'Prince Dance Troupe' from Behrampur, Orissa was organized. Incidentally, the dance troupe is also featured in the 2010 edition of Limca Book of Records 2010 as winners of the "India's Got Talent" show. In addition, the Limca Book of Records also invited Ramesh Babu, holder of 39 Limca Book of Records to the special function. Featured over 15 times in the record book since 1991, Ramesh Babu was also amongst the 20 'People of the Year' felicitated by the Record book in 2009. Recognizing his long association with the Limca Book of Records, Atul Singh, President & CEO Coca-Cola India & South West Asia presented two tickets of the FIFA World Cup™ 2010 Finals to be played in South Africa on July 11th, 2010. One of the highlights of the event was the presence of over 250 students being taken care by leading NGOs such as, Literacy India, Deepalaya, SOS Children Village, Prayas and Smile Foundation.

Speaking at the event, Atul Singh, President & CEO Coca-Cola India & South West Asia said, "Limca Book of Records has always been a platform for Indians, unknown, unheard and unsung, to showcase their special talents. In its 21st edition, the book also acknowledges the significant contribution of 7 prominent Indian luminaries from various walks of life by felicitating them as 'People of the Year' 2010. The outstanding achievements of these 7 stalwarts and other record holders in the latest edition reveal the grandeur of 21 glorious years of Limca Book of Records. The book truly catalogues 'India at Her Best'.
The 7 luminaries chosen as the "People of the Year" were selected by an independent panel consisting of H.K. Dua, Member of Parliament and Prof. Dipankar Gupta. Launched amidst the associates of Coca-Cola India, the Hindi edition of the record book was unveiled by all the 'People of the Year'. Whereas the Malayalam edition of the record book was also unveiled by Anjolie Ela Menon, India's leading contemporary female artist.

Yash Mukhija, a Limca Book of Records holder showcases his extraordinary talent of performing blindfold acts such as cycling, playing cricket and painting at the specially created Limca Book of Records Arena during the 21 years celebration of the Limca Book of Records in New Delhi.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Rahul Dravid, Star Batsman and former Indian Cricket Team Captain said "Limca Book of Records is a one-of-a kind book that celebrates the achievements of Indians from across the globe. It is amazing to see the record book become an institution in itself by encouraging every Indian to do their best in their respective fields. Being a part of the record book is indeed an honour. It has further inspired me to play good cricket and make my country very proud".
The all new edition especially catalogues extraordinary achievements of Indians who have done India proud. With 21 refreshing and informative chapters, the 2010 edition of the record book celebrates over 10,000 remarkable achievements out of which 6,000 are new records, all showcasing extraordinary feats of Indians across the globe.
As part of the launch function, a special arena featuring record holders from Limca Book of Records was also set up. At this arena, some of the record holders showcased their extraordinary talent which included– A collection of Dot Pen portraits of well-know international and national personalities made by Amarjeet Singh. At the arena, Yash Mukhija showcased his extraordinary talent of performing blindfold acts such as cycling, playing cricket and painting. Additionally, Uma Shankar Mehra, a Limca Book of Records holder displayed his collection of 2,979 currency notes from 296 countries which he had collected since the last 55 years.
