Andhra Pradesh Government Confers 'Best Management Award' To Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Limited


Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, K Rosiah gives away the 'Best Management Award, 2010' to Deepak Kaul, South Region Vice President, HCCBPL and G V R K , South Region HR Manager, HCCBPL in the presence of Rami Reddy, Minister for Labor, Employment and Cooperation at a special award ceremony in Hyderabad

On the occasion of International Workers' Day on May 1st, 2010, Andhra Pradesh government conferred the "Best Management Award" of the year to the Andhra Pradesh operations of the Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCBPL). Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, K Rosaiah gave away the award to South Region Vice President of the Company, Deepak Kaul and South Region HR Manager, G V R K Raju at a special award ceremony. The company was recognized for having best work place practices and best-in-the-class safety measures and also for successfully implementing several corporate social responsibility initiatives over the past 3 years.

Speaking at the occasion, Deepak Kaul, South Region Vice President of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages said, "We are very pleased to be selected for this prestigious award amongst a peer group of companies who strive to achieve industrial friendly atmosphere in the state."

Consistent Participative Management Forum Practices, Productivity Improvement Practices as well as Employee Engagement and Welfare practices were some of the parameters basis which the award committee bestowed HCCBPL with the prestigious award.

The "Abhyaasa Project" (Systematic on-the-job training) in particular, undertaken with the objective of enhancing technical skills of casual workers and as well as consistent harmonious industrial relations displayed by the workers as well as the management also helped the company bag the coveted award



Coca-Cola India awarded the Bombay Stock Exchange Award for Social and Corporate Governance 2009

Coca-Cola India has been awarded the Social and Corporate Governance Award for Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility 2009.

The award which has been instituted by Bombay Stock Exchange Limited, Nasscom Foundation and Times Foundation recognizes and honours organisations for their contribution to society. Coca-Cola India was declared as one of the four winners of the award in recognition of its community development and sustainability initiatives in the four pillars of marketplace, workplace, environment and community. The other winners include prestigious organisations like IT major Infosys, Construction conglomerate Larsen & Toubro and leading bank, The Punjab National Bank.

120 years of Trust - Coca-Cola voted as the Most Trusted Brand

Coca-Cola has been voted as one of the most Trusted Brands by Reader’s Digest -celebrating its 52nd year in India in(Left) Mr.Krishnakumar Region Vice President - Central, receiving award from Mr. Ashutosh Bishnoy, Publishing Director - Readers Digest the Reader’s Digest Asia’s Trusted Brands Survey 2006. Coca-Cola in Asia has been voted as a ’Platinum Winner’ and Coca-Cola in India has been voted as a ’Gold Winner’.

The award was given in a ceremony held today at Hotel ‘Taj Lands End’, Bandra in Mumbai. Mr. T Krishnakumar, Vice President, Central Region, received the award on behalf of Coca-Cola from  Mr. Ashutosh Bishnoy, Publishing Director - Reader’s Digest.
              
The Most Trusted Reader’s Digest Award is based on a 8th annual consumer survey from seven Asian Markets- Hongkong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand & India & is given out across   42 product categories . It’s an honor for a company to be adjudged as the Most Trusted Brand which loves its consumers, respects them, listens to them, delights them & in the process earns the Trust of its consumers. 
Coca-Cola stood out a winner when tested across categories on six core qualities i.e. Trustworthiness, credibility of image, quality, value, how well each brand understands the needs of its consumers & its ability to innovate. It’s truly this collective voice of consumers which has spoken & has earned Coca-Cola the award.

Coca-Cola honoured with 'Best Management Award' by the Government of Andhra Pradesh

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. has been honoured with the 'BEST MANGEMENT AWARD' in the State by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for its people's management practices following a review by the State Labour Department. Mr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will present the award to the company at a simple function in Hyderabad on the occasion of Labour Day, May 1, 2005.

The Company provides direct and indirect employment to more than 2500 people in its five bottling plants in Andhra Pradesh situated in Ameenpur, Moula Ali (near Hyderabad), Vizag, Vijayawada, and Nellore. The Company has been recognized for its Best HR practices like KO Role Model -Deferred Rewards program, to reinforce performance and behavior, KO Key Contributor - Cash reward for superlative performance (CE & Solid Citizens) with citation & a gold pin, KO Vacations - A program to include the associate's family in celebrating his professional success by sending them on a vacation, motivational programs like Surge Beyond 100% to recognize team performance.

In addition to the professional growth of the employees, the Company also focuses on personal and social growth by involving employees in various corporate social responsibility projects undertaken in Andhra Pradesh. These include blood donation camps, health camps for local communities around the bottling plant, education support to local community, etc in association with NGOs like Red Cross and Hyderabad Round Table. In addition to the above, the Andhra Pradesh team came forward to donate generously to Chief Minister's Relief Fund during the tsunami tragedy besides working on location to help the victims.

The State Government of Uttar Pradesh, under the aegis of Directorate, Handicapped Welfare conferred Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Varanasi with the Best Organization Award for allowing differently-abled people to prosper & carve a niche for themselves in the professional world.

The Award was given by the Governor of the State, H.E. Shri T V Rajeshwar to the Area General Manager, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. Varanasi, Mr.Ashutosh Bhardwaj, in a function organized at Sahkarita Bhawan, Lucknow, to mark the World Disability Day on December 3, 2005.

According to Mr. Ashutosh Bhardwaj, it’s a policy at Coca-Cola to give equal status & provide equal opportunity to the differently-abled people who are in a perfect physical condition.They are especially trained to carry out certain responsibility. Anomalies should not hamper the growth of an individual. At present, twelve differently-abled people are working as Bottle Inspectors (bottle supervisors) in the unit.

The Company shared this award with B.C.G. School for the Deaf, Varanasi.

Our Patna Unit has been awarded 'Corporate Social Responsibility Award' for the year 2004 05 by the J.M. Institute of Speech and Hearing, Patna. The award was given to the Patna Unit for the continued support provided towards upliftment of physically challenged children.

Since last one-year, the principal focus of Patna Units Citizenship activities has been supporting the physically challenged. The multiple initiatives in this direction include Organizing Sports for Deaf and Dumb, Cultural Programmes, Educational Trip to Plants etc.

The Award was presented to the AGM, Patna - Mr. Saurabh Pande, by the Lokayukth of Bihar, Shri Narmadeshwar Pande in a ceremonial function held in Patna on 24-September 2005, the International Deaf & Dumb Day.

 

Government Acknowledges Coca-Cola’s Concern for The Disabled

Ms. J. Jayalalitha, Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, presented the award to the company Chennai 16th August 2004: Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. has been honoured as the ‘BEST PRIVATE COMPANY’ in the State by the Government of Tamil Nadu for its contribution to the communities in providing employment opportunities to physically challenged people.
Ms. J. Jayalalitha, Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, presented the award to the company at a simple function here on the occasion of the occasion of Independence Day.

The Company employs 88 people with hearing and speaking disability, who work as “Special Inspectors” at its Nemam plant near Chennai. They have been trained by the Company to observe the bottles and check for any foreign particles during quality
