Think Green, Go Green

Coca-Cola India in association with ASSOCHAM launched an Environment awareness campaign- "“Think Green, Go Green” to spread awareness on environment conservation. Dr Kiran Bedi, Director General, Bureau of Police Research & Development & Ministry of Home Affairs inaugurated the seminar & she appreciated the community developments projects being undertaken by Coca-Cola India. The initiatives include 18 new projects, dedication of 10 projects on Water Conservation, PET recycling etc. She also appealed to the children to save each drop of water and sought pledge from them that they would do their best to inspire the community for water harvesting initiatives.

A painting competition was also organized which gathered an overwhelming response from over 200 children from different school in Delhi. Dr Bedi gave away the prizes to all the winners of the painting competition.

According to Deepak Jolly, VP, Public Affairs & Communication, "Given that the groundwater table is on a rapid decline in Gurgaon and these projects are being commissioned before the monsoons, it will help conserve rainwater and aid in arresting the decline in groundwater levels."

John Bentum Williams, High Commisioner of Ghana, also addressed the gathering & appealed to the children to conserve & preserve the environment.

Also present on the occasion were ASSOCHAM HR & CSR Committee Chairman, Shekhar Borker and Kamal Meattle, CEO,Paharpur Business. They emphasized on the need to save energy by using CFL lamps.
