Work Profile: To build and enhance the image of the company by leading implementation of the Sustainability framework across India and South West Asia Business Unit. I am responsible for formulating the strategy, direction and execution of Coca-Cola India’s CSR and Sustainability program. It involves extensive internal and external stakeholder engagement, collaboration with NGO partners, bottlers, cross functional teams and other external partners and building franchise bottler capability.

About yourself: A people’s person, who has a ‘can-do’ attitude, committed and collaborative, and driven by work which makes a positive difference to people and their lives.

Favourite Coca-Cola memory so far:  Played a key role in setting up the India CEO Forum on Business and Human Rights as a multi stakeholder initiative, under the leadership of N.R. Narayamurthy, Founder and Chairman Emeritus, Infosys. The Forum drew a Human Rights and Business vision and a two-year road map for businesses in India. One of the high points of this initiative was sharing a dais with Mr. Narayanamurthy in the presence of 70+ industry leaders and stalwarts.

One rumor about Coca-Cola that frustrates you: Dragging Coca-Cola’s name into the Jalikattu issue in Tamil Nadu was very frustrating.

One thing you could change around you: The negative perception about Coca-Cola as a company; sustainability issues are complex and need a constructive cross sectoral approach to bring in models that are transformative, scalable, innovative and equitable.

One thing that nobody knows about you at Coca-Cola: that I have undergone a formal training in horse riding and was pretty good at rock climbing in my younger days☺
