Carbonated Water

Carbonated water, also known as soda water, sparkling water, is water containing carbon dioxide under pressure and may contain permitted ingredients and additives allowed by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. The water used in carbonated water conforms to the quality parameters of packaged drinking water in India.

Sugar

Sugar or sucrose is a caloric sweetener, which is used to sweeten our beverages and it provides calories. In India sugar is mostly made from sugar cane. One gram of sugar or sucrose provides 4 Calories (Kcal).

Acidity Regulator

Citric acid is the most widely used Acidity regulator in the food industry and has been in use for several years in food and beverage. Citric acid is commonly found in citrus fruits such as lemon, orange. Citric acid is used in beverages to provide tartness for desirable taste.

Stabilizers 

Stabilizers are added in beverage to provide the desired texture, consistency and mouthfeel. Stabilizers are used in other processed foods to improve mouth feel and consistency.

Preservative (Sodium Benzoate)

Preservative is added in beverage to protect the taste and quality of the product.

Synthetic Colour 

Sunset Yellow is used as colouring agent and it is classified as synthetic colour as per Food Standards and Safety Authority of India (FSSAI). It provides yellow to orange colour to the beverage.

Natural & Nature-Identical Flavouring Substances

Nature-identical flavouring substances means substances chemically isolated from aromatic raw materials or obtained synthetically; they are chemically identical to substances present in natural products intended for human consumption, either processed or not. These are added to provide the characteristic taste to the beverages.

Natural flavours and natural flavouring substances means flavour preparations and single substance respectively, acceptable for human consumption, obtained exclusively by physical processes from vegetables, for human consumption. These are added to provide the characteristic taste to the beverages.
