ENVIRONMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (EAC)
In addition to India Advisory Board, Coca-Cola India has set up an Environment Advisory Council (EAC) to help and guide the company to preserve, protect and enhance the environment. The EAC shall also ensure that the company uses its resources and capabilities to provide active leadership on environment related matters relevant to its business.

General
V.P. Malik (Retd): General Malik is the Former Chief of Indian Army, a
force of over 1.1 million people. He oversaw intensified anti-terrorist operations
in Jammu and Kashmir and North East India. He was awarded the Ati Vishista Seva
Medal in 1986 as well as the Param Vishista Seva Medal, the highest national award
for distinguished services in India in 1996.
He is a member of the
National Security Advisory Board and Honorary Advisor to the Centre for Policy
Research, New Delhi.
Mr.
Harish Salve: A practicing Senior Advocate, is the Ex- Solicitor General
of India. He is a well respected lawyer who has been appointed "amicus curea",
a friend of the court in many environment matters including the famous rock painting
matter and also various Public Interest Litigations. He brings with him to the
Council rich legal experience.
Prof.Subash
Chander: Former Head of the Hydrology Department -IIT Delhi. Is currently
an advisor to the Government of India in the prestigious project of Linking of
Rivers in India. He is also an advisor to the Government of Andhra Pradesh in
the field of water conservation.
Dr.
Mrs. Vimala Ramalingam : Is the Chairperson of the Indian Red Cross and
brings with her deep reach and efforts of Red Cross to benefit the Council efforts
in varied sections of the society.
Prof. Dilip Biswas: He is the Former Chairman of
the Central Pollution Control Board and his experience in the field of environment
protection and enforcement is well known. He also brings with him the bureaucratic
insight to the environmental issues and as to how the country's executive views
the environtal issues.
Dr.
M K Ranjitsinh: Is a retired officer from the Indian Administrative Service
of Madhya Pradesh Cadre. Having spent his entire career in the flaura and fauna
of the country's most "covered" state, he brings with him rich experience
of creating fine balance of ecological growth while enhancing the commercial pursuits.
