- Support consumer education programs that promote healthy & active life style
Dr. Kamala Krishnaswamy: Is former Director, National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR), Hyderabad, India and has been engaged in nutrition research for more than three decades. She is an internationally renowned specialist in Internal Medicine and Nutritional Sciences. She has been occupying important positions in National Professional Societies. She was Emeritus Medical Scientist of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). She is currently on advisory board of several Scientific Committees and industries and recipient of several awards and orations. She has been honoured as Fellow of Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Medical Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, National Agricultural Academy of Sciences, AP Akademi of Sciences, International Union of Nutritional Sciences and Third World Academy of Sciences.
Dr. P S M Chandran: Is Director (Sports Medicine), Sports Authority of India. He is Member on several National and International Sports committees and has many publications in sports medicine to his credit including books and articles. He is the President of Indian Federation of Sports Medicine. Dr. Chandran was Executive Committee Member of Asian Federation of Sports Medicine. He is also the Chairman of the Medical Commission of Asian Shooting Confederation and Secretary of the Medical Commission of Asian Hockey Federation. Presently, is the President of Indian Federation of Sports Medicine. He is Indian contingent Doctor for various International sports events including World Cups, Olympic Games, Asian Games and S.A.F Games.
Dr. J S Pai:
Dr Pai is the Executive Director of Protein Foods and Nutrition Development Association of India (PFNDAI). He is recipient of Distinguished Teaching Associate Award 1973 University of Massachusetts. He retired as Professor and Head, Food Technology, UDCT, Mumbai University. He has wide and rich experience in research and industrial consultancy in food processing, dairy technology, protein & enzyme technology, biotechnology etc. He is on board of Kelkar Research Centre and Heinz Nutrition Foundation of India. He is also fellow of Association of Food Scientists & Technologist (India) and Maharashtra Academy of Science.
Dr. Vinay Aggarwal:
Dr Aggarwal is Senior Vice-President of Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Chairman & Managing Director of Pushpanjali Group of Companies As the honorary General Secretary of IMA, he successfully started "Aao Gaon Chalen" ( Let us reach out to the villages) program. Since 2005, he has been member of Standing Committee and ESI (Employee State Insurance) Corporation. He is on the Board of Visitors for Delhi Prison, Trustee of Indian Alcohol Policy Alliance, and Member of National Blood Transfusion Council. He initiated “Anemia Free India” project in 2005. He is recipient of several awards including Best Alumnus award of Maulana Azad Medical College, Dr PN Bahl Community Service award by Delhi Medical Association and BC Roy National Award (2006) for his outstanding contribution to the health services. He has authored Manual of Medical Emergencies, Textbook of Family Medicine, Malaria and Its Management and is the founder Editor of Pushpanjali Health News. He has done a yeoman’s service in the capacity of secretary general of Physicians’ Training Initiative on HIV/AIDS by Clinton Foundation, NACO, and IMA, Working Group of Public Private Partnership, National Rural Health Mission, and National Disaster Management Authority. He has worked on several projects with Scientific Committees of the Government of India and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as public private partnership including 210 high fertility districts, and leprosy mission.
Dr. A.S. Aiyar:
He is Chairman of Proalgen Biotech Limited. He is a founder-member of Foundation of Food Research and Enterprise for Safety & Hygiene, an organization focused on improvement of hygiene, sanitation and food safety in all sectors of the food system. He is member of the 'Food Safety Council' constituted by Greater Mysore Chamber of Industry and TECSOK, Government of Karnataka. He is also Vice Chairman, Regional Food Research and Analysis Centre sponsored by FICCI and Ministry of Food Processing. He was Chairman of WHO project for enhancing the safety for 'Street Foods'. He had advised organizations such as BIS, ILSI and NDDB to create awareness of HACCP in different sectors. He is currently an Advisor and Member of several Scientific Committees and Industries.
Dr. P A Shankar:
Is Advisor to Food and Beverage Industry on various food safety aspects including water hygiene and fermented foods. Was Professor and Director of Dairy Science College and Post-Graduate Studies at Karnataka Veterinary Animal & Fisheries Sciences University, Bangalore. He was President of Association of Food Scientists & Technologists [AFST], Bangalore chapter; President of Indian Microbiologists Association, Bangalore chapter; Vice-President of Indian Dairy Association, South zone. Is a Founder Member of Indo-Swedish Network on Fermented foods. He has conducted research on projects funded by Indian Council for Agricultural Research, New Delhi and Department of Bio-Technology, Government of India. His research areas include Probiotics, Prebiotics; Immobilized enzymes; Mycotoxins in foods; Food poisoning and Food intoxication, Water borne-diseases. He
is a recipient of ICAR-JRF award for Masters Program and Commonwealth-Fellowship for Doctoral Program from British Council.
