Reaffirming its goals on Reduce, Reuse and Replenish water and continue with its commitment towards Water Stewardship and Water Management, The Coca-Cola Company, led by Coca-Cola in India and Brazil is participating in World Urban Forum (WUF), along with its partner UN Habitat.
The World Urban Forum is one of the world's premier conferences on cities. It was established by the United Nations to examine one of the most pressing problems facing the world today: rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change and policies. WUF is being jointly hosted by the Government of Brazil and UN Habitat from 22nd March till 26th March 2010.
UN-HABITAT and the Coca-Cola Company entered into a partnership in April 2007. This was during the launch of UN-HABITAT's Business Partnership for Sustainable Urbanization (BPSU) in Nairobi to collaborate for improving community access to water and sanitation in India and Nepal under the Water for Asian Cities Programme. Since then, both the organizations have been collaborating on water and sanitation projects in India and Nepal. Recently, following the consultations at the World Economic Forum in Davos early this year, the collaboration between UN-HABITAT and Coca-Cola Company is being extended to other regions of Africa, Asia and Latin America.

- High Level Leaders' Meeting on Public-Private Partnership: Corporate Social Responsibility in Pursuit of Improved Urban water and Sanitation Meeting co-hosted by Coca-Cola and UN Habitat. Several leaders from the States, Social sector and leading Corporates shall come together to discuss collaboration among in Pursuit of improved urban water and sanitation in communities.
- Release of the book 'The Ripple Effect' on Impact of partnerships between UN habitat and Coca-Cola for Sustainable Water and Sanitation in several parts of India and Nepal by Anna Tibaijuka, Executive Director, UN-HABITAT and Atul Singh, President and CEO, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia
